Staffordshirenbullterrieri on upea, mutta vaativa rotu, joka ei sovi kaikille. Se on aktiivinen, älykäs ja voimakas koira, joka kaipaa selkeitä rajoja, johdonmukaista koulutusta ja oikeanlaisen ympäristön. Staffi on hyvin ihmiskeskeinen, mutta myös herkästi kiihtyvä ja fyysinen leikeissään. Sillä voi olla voimakas jahtaus- ja puremistarve, ja suhtautuminen muihin koiriin vaihtelee – kaikki eivät ole sosiaalisia jokaista vastaantulijaa kohtaan.
Miten meillä pennut valitaan koteihinsa?
Jokainen pentue on tarkkaan harkittu yhdistelmä, jossa painotetaan terveyttä, luonnetta ja rodun tulevaisuutta. Pentueita syntyy harvoin, sillä meille on tärkeää tehdä asiat huolella. Haluamme kasvatuksen olevan avointa ja läpinäkyvää – täydellistä koiraa emme voi luvata, mutta teemme parhaamme antaaksemme pennuille hyvät lähtökohdat elämään.
Meillä ei ole perinteistä varauslistaa, vaan jokaiselle pennulle etsitään juuri sille sopiva koti – eikä tässä pidetä kiirettä. Tiedän, että epävarmuus siitä, löytyykö oma pentu vai ei, ei sovi kaikille, ja se on täysin ymmärrettävää. Jokaiselle löytyy varmasti kasvattaja, jonka toimintatapa tuntuu oikealta.
Pennun ja omistajan täytyy sopia toisilleen, mutta yhtä tärkeää on, että myös kasvattajan ja pennunostajan välillä kemiat kohtaavat. Hyvä yhteistyö ja luottamus tekevät kaikesta sujuvampaa, sillä kasvattajan tuki ei lopu pennun muuttaessa uuteen kotiin.
Mitä pentu saa mukaansa elämään?
Pennun matka hyvään elämään alkaa jo ennen syntymää ja jatkuu meillä luovutusikään asti. Kasvatan pennut perhe-elämän keskellä ja panostan niiden varhaisiin kokemuksiin. Käytössä ovat muun muassa:

A Puppy from Us?
The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a fantastic but demanding breed that isn’t the right fit for everyone. It’s an active, intelligent, and powerful dog that needs clear boundaries, consistent training, and the right environment. Staffies are highly people-oriented but can also be excitable and physically intense in their play. They may have strong chasing and biting instincts, and their attitude toward other dogs varies—not all are social with every dog they meet.
How Do We Choose Homes for Our Puppies?
Every litter is carefully planned with a focus on health, temperament, and the future of the breed. Puppies are born rarely because we believe in doing things with care. We aim for openness and transparency in breeding—we can’t promise a perfect dog, but we do our best to give each puppy the best possible start in life.
We don’t operate with a traditional reservation list. Instead, we take our time finding the right home for each individual puppy. I understand that the uncertainty of whether a suitable puppy will be available may not suit everyone, and that’s completely okay. There is a breeder out there for everyone, and it’s important to find one whose approach feels right for you.
It’s not just about finding the right match between the puppy and the owner—it’s equally important that the buyer and the breeder have a good connection. Trust and open communication make everything smoother, as my support doesn’t end when the puppy goes to its new home.
What Does a Puppy Get to Prepare for Life?
A puppy’s journey to a good life starts even before birth and continues with us until they are ready for their new homes. Puppies grow up in a home environment and are exposed to early learning experiences, including:

Because of this, I value active communication with puppy owners and prefer homes within a reasonable distance so we can meet when needed.
Is a Staffie the Right Breed for You?
If you’re interested in the breed, I highly recommend researching it thoroughly. A Staffie is an amazing dog for the right person but requires true commitment.
